After months of sheltering-in-place and practicing social distancing, New Jersey is opening up again, and you can get back to your regular routines. You are probably ready for some pampering and beauty treatments from our team here at SculptMD, in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, but have questions about safety — after all, aesthetic treatments require close work.

Let’s review the facts about COVID-19 and our safety measures. We want to help you stay healthy and also look fabulous.

COVID-19 facts

The SARS-CoV-2 virus causes COVID-19, also called coronavirus. This novel respiratory illness is incredibly contagious and spreads through airborne droplets. For example, when someone who has the virus talks, sneezes, or coughs, they spray droplets into the air surrounding them.

COVID-19 can enter your body through your eyes, nose, and mouth when you’re within six feet of an infected person, regardless of whether they’re sneezing or coughing. You can also pick up the virus by touching a contaminated surface and then rubbing your eyes or face, although this transmission method is less common.

The COVID-19 virus causes various symptoms, including fever, cough, shortness of breath, and fatigue. The virus typically causes a respiratory illness that can range from mild to life-threatening, although some patients develop other symptoms.

It’s also possible for people to have the infection without any symptoms. You can still spread the virus if you don’t have symptoms.

How we’re protecting you and our team

Here at SculptMD, we put your safety and well-being first. We used to wear masks for most aesthetic treatments, but now as we re-open, we wear them for everything. We also ask you to wear them while you’re in shared areas or have a treatment that isn’t on your face such as CoolSculpting® or laser hair removal.

Additionally, while we’ve always adhered to the highest hygiene standards, we have upped our cleaning game. All public areas and high-touch surfaces like door handles and counters are being sanitized several times per day.

If you have questions about our cleaning and safety protocols, please let us know. We’re complying with state directives and are adjusting to the new normal while still providing the outstanding services and client-care that you deserve.

Want to reschedule? That’s okay.

We understand and respect your decision if you want to delay or reschedule your next appointment. Aesthetic services are technically nonessential, and as mentioned, your safety is paramount.

If you’re ready to come back into our comfortable and welcoming office, rest assured that we are working together to keep you safe and prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Now that we can start to get back out into the world, we want to help you look and feel your best. Give us a call or schedule a consultation online today for expert aesthetic treatments and personalized care.
